Challenges

The county determined that a new rural fire department needed to be built. The site needed ease of access and plenty of maneuvering space for full size fire trucks.

Solution

Coordination between Yolo County and Willow Oak Fire Department was required for this project. Computer models were constructed to confirm that all routes designated for fire truck traffic could accommodate the wide turning radius.

Outcome

A new fire house that meets the requirements of the Fire Department and City of Woodland.
