A design-build delivery for the new Yolo County Health, Alcohol, Drug and Mental Health Replacement Facility in Woodland, California that needed to be integrated with the surrounding residential neighborhood.
Solution
Laugenour and Meikle provided civil engineering and land surveying services for this infill project and worked closely with the County of Yolo and design team to complete this project within its appropriate schedule. Local knowledge and previous experience with adjacent building allowed streamlining of grading and utility construction schedule.
Outcome
The project was constructed to simulate a LEED Silver rating, providing Yolo County with a more energy efficient building and lower maintenance. Yolo County has the opportunity to purchase this project when it becomes economically feasible.
